I have installed Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 on two laptop
computers. The formatting of the same document is different on both? I have
a newsletter with a frame on the first page with two pictures (one on the
left, one on the right) with title in between them. On one computer, it
appears fine. On the other the frame with one picture appears on page 1, the
frame with the title appears on Page 2, the frame with the second picture
appears on page 3 and then the newsletter appears normal from page 4 on. I
have "repaired" and "reinstalled" the software and I have compared the option
settings on both and they are the same.

Do both computers have the same operating system and *exactly* the same
printer driver? See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TextReflow.htm.

They both need to be using the same printer driver (not printer). This
usually means, among other things, the same version of the operating system.

Both operating systems are the same. Both use the same printer and driver.
One both computers, if I click on the picture on the right, then the picture
tool bar , I see that "Square" is selected. If I select "Tight" on the
computer that doesn't work right, the display corrects itself and the proper
formatting is restored. I don't know why I can't copy one file to the other
computer without changing that option but now I know how to work around it.
