My computer is behind a hardware router. I use a software firewall.
I use a virus program. I never run any version of Outlook. I very
rarely use IE.

Do I need SP2? Thank you in advance for all replies.

I am TERRIBLY cruel to my cat. I tease him with a vine tendril
until he either jumps up in the air to bat at it or zooms around
in a circle until he gets too dizzy to stand up. What is cruel about
it is that I don't do it nearly as much as he wants me to.

You've made me consider a possibility that SP2 is all a big put-on, and I
thank you for that usage of my time. All those programmers were paid for
years to create something that isn't needed? I guess I can not really answer
that question, since I don't know jack diddley squat about what
vulnerabilities exist (beyond those that have been published by every major
news media and by Microsoft themselves, and that's quite a list) if SP2 is
not applied and in tandem with all your protections. Time will tell, I
suppose. Please keep us all informed!

Hi, you'll probably need it in the future as all patches may well require it
to be install in the first place, as what happened with SP1. Also it must be
said that SP2 isn't just about security patches it also fixes some
compatibility issues and general updates to hardware drivers. I would say
that you should install it...
