DNS problem, virus?

I've been having serious problems accessing the internet
for the past few hours.

After finding and removing a program called WidDriv32
found as a virus/spyware and deleting several related
entries in my hosts file, I started having 'server not
found' or DNS problems with anything I try to access on
the net. It works fine for a few minutes when I boot up,
then suddenly I cant get to anything.

Here's the worrying part - I've completely formatted the
drive and reinstalled XP twice just now, and the problem
still comes back after an hour or so, even though I'm
taking care not to do anything to bring this problem
back. How is that possible?

Any help would be appreciated, this is making using my PC
impossible.

I'm having the same problem and I emptied my cache but it hasn't worked. Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

It might be your DNS, call your ISP to get the correct ones.
