DMA Mode

Hi, the primary and secondary ide channels are set
to "DMA if available" transfer mode. However, the current
transfer mode is set to PIO Mode. How do I set it to DMA
Mode?

Check to see if you have a IDE UDMA setting in your bios and that it's
enabled. In addition to that, my Dell 8300 has a "IDE Harddrive Acoustics
Mode" which can affect how the drive performs and change the mode under
Windows as well.
