Dll Problem

When I try to download a new program I get an error
message that says, "Cannot find shell.dll." When I
check my windows system file, Shell.dll is there. I
tried installing shell.dll from a internet dll site and
still have the problem. How can I deal with this??

Try the system file checker tool, which runs as windows

file protection, and may ask for your XP CD if it needs
to copy needed files. Click start, run, type in this
here; sfc /scannow with that space after sfc.
