Dlink 56 kbps modem not working properly with Windows 2000 professional

I have connected a Dlink 56 kbps modem with my PC which
has windows 2000 professional Operating system. Whenever I
shutdown my PC & restart, the MODEM does work. I need to
remove and add the device again.

I tried changing the modem. But, the same problem repeats.
Please tell me what to do?

Look for an updated drive -- or talk to DLink.

Other modems don't suffer this problem.
