In my Windows XP Home Edition I have an Icon which
answers me: "Do you want to activate HP DLA, which has
more functions than your origin software?"
What is DLA and which funtions does it give me?
/Calle

It is CD burning software. It is a packet writing method
not compatible with Roxio Direct CD.
It allows drag and drop (packet writing) but if you have
another program such as Roxio or Nero, don't activate DLA.

To learn more search Google for "HP DLA" and just "DLA cd"
and "packet writing"

Drive Letter Access - It gives you packet writing capability. like InCD from
Nero or DirectCD from Roxio. When you format a CD-RW with DLA, it makes the
CD-RW look and act like a 'big' floppy and allows rewriting to the CD-RW.
I had the software bundled with my HP CD-RW along with RecordNow, the
equivalent of Roxio Easy CD Creator or Nero's Burning ROM
