Dividing in paste special

I am trying to take an income statement and round all the
numbers to the nearest thousand using paste special. I
can't figure out how to divide by 1000 when I click on the
radio button to divide.
 
Hi,

Enter 1000 in any cell, then copy that cell.Block the area which you
want to divide by 1000, and then choose paste special and select divide
in that.

Unless you've selected "Precision as displayed" in
Tools/Options/Calculation, dividing by 1000 (by entering 1000 in a cell,
copying it, then selecting your range and choosing Paste Special,
selecting the Values and Divide radio buttons), won't actually round
anything. The display may show a rounded value, i.e., if the original
value were 1500, with formatting set to zero decimal places, then
dividing by 1000 would result in a display of 2, but the value in the
cell which is used in calculations is 1.5.
