I have hundreds of formulas on multiple spreadsheets and each has the
possibiltity of dividing by zero and creating an error in the cell. Is there
code or a function to eliminate all of the error messages in all cells
without having to change each cell's formula?

1. select cell A1
2. Format > Conditional formatting... > Formula is > =iserror(a1)
3. format with the color of the font matching the background color
4. Copy A1
5. Select the entire worksheet
5. Edit > PasteSpecial > Formats

The divide by zero message and other error messages will become "invisible"

What should I do if some of the cells have different formats to begin with?
Some, but not all, of the cells are currency and some of the cells are bold
or have outlines.

You don't have to copy and paste formats.

Select all the cells in the worksheet (or all the cells where you want the
conditioanl formatting) with cell A1 as the Activecell. Follow the
instructions as given by Gary's Student for applying the format. If you
have existing conditional formatting in place, this would be problematic.

I don't know why anyone would do it any other way, but they seem to <g>.
