DiviceManager, empty,no hardware

After recovering from a crash (bad crash).
I was able to get the box up and running after several
repairs (attempts) now the Device Manager does not show
any hardware, or hardware related information, empty. This
seems to be the major issue, other problems like slow
boot, slow shutdown.
Any Ideas?

I'd back up all data and reinstall.
