Thanks to the excellent help of all of you here, my project is ready to
become an MDE and be distributed to two sites for Beta testing. Remember
that these are entirely stand-alone personal computers that are lucky to have
dial-up internet access. There are absolutely no multi-user or network
concerns.

The question is how exactly to "professionally" distribute the end product.
The application is Access 2000 and the operating systems are varied, Office
98, Office XP Home & Professional - and I think one site is actually running
2000. All Windows (thank God), but different levels.

I am 99% sure that all sites do NOT have Access of any level installed. I
have read of an available Access runtime module available from Microsoft, but
have not (with confidence) found the download. What I did find was a
download for Access 2000 Runtime Terminal Server (termsrvr_ART.mst) that
sounds like it MAY the file needed, but I'm not sure.

Is this the runtime module that needs to be installed on the non-Access
system? If not, where do I find it? Other than not installing the runtime
version on a PC that has Access, what other considerations should I be aware
of?

Thanks again for all the outstanding help - I couldn't have done it without
you!

The RunTime version of Access is contained is the
developer's version along with the license rights to
distribute it.

The ability to distribute and install the runtime is something you purchase. It
is free for the user, but not for the developer.

Is Office 2000 Professional version short of the Developer's Edition? If so,
can you even purchase the 2000 Developer's Edition any more???

No.

Not from Microsoft, but you might find it on Ebay or elsewhere on the web.
