How does a user create a DL so that when the recipients view the email they
do not see everyone's name, but rather just see the DL Name? I know there is
way to do this because I get emails like this all the time from other users.

TIA!

These are mailenabled distributiongroups created on the mailserver itself.
Groups within the Contacts folder are expanded before sending because the
group itself doesn't have an e-mail address.

I believe the only way you see the DL as a group is if you have the same DL
on your system. Within the network here if I send out an email to everyone,
they see it as the DL name, but if I include an outside email, they get it
with separate names.

So even if I created a DL on the Exchange Server, outside mail users will
see everyone's name?

Exactly. when I don't want others to see who is being sent the email also I
put the list in the BCC box. That way they only see themselves.

No, they won't see "only themselves." They'll see nothing. Putting a DL in
the BCC filed places nothing in the To: field.
