Distribute Policies

Hello, I want to know if there is a way (not using a server with active
directory or similar) to apply policies to lots of computers in Windows XP
Pro.

More exactly, what I want to do is to EXPORT and then IMPORT the GROUP
POLICIES from one computer to another.

The king of information I want is for example, what file I have to copy or
replace that contains all the policies configurations or maybe a registry
key?

I'm trying to avoid using programs to do this because it's a lot of work to
install a program in every computer of my network, then apply the policies
and then uninstall the program so nobody can alter the configuration.

Thanks.

As an interim solution, I used to copy C:\WINDOWS\System32\grouppolicy from
a "perfectly" configured machine to my server, and have each computer in a
batch file delete the local contents and copy them off the server each time
it booted up.

I haven't bothered with this on this build of the network I run at home,
but this may be an interim solution until a better way is devised.
