Has anyone had any problem with distorted images (particularly jpg) using
IE6?

The computer is HP, Athalon, XP operating system, and the images are almost
unrecognizable - individual pixels can be seen.

Critical updates have all been done. I installed Mozilla Firebird as a
browser and that works just fine. All images look right in all other
programs (including Firebird) but not in IE.

I have a similar program on my new HP PC. Talking to
HP's instant support has been proven to be a waste of
time. Same thing happened on my older PC a few months
back. The only thing I can think of is a conflict with
my Lexmark X-75 printer as the problem seems to have
started after I installed this printer.
I have downloaded Netscape which works just fine, but
there is no way to uninstall the IE. This is very
frustrating.
ANy help will be higlhy appreciated.

The computer I was working with (HP) had a HP printer attached to it. And
we can't think of anything that had been added or changed just before the
problem started.

I've heard that others are having the same problem, and at least one person
thought it was a problem with Athalon vs IE.

What ISP are you using? I read that some ISPs seem to cause that, such as
NetZero & Earthlink.
