Display resolution problems

from the time i have set my screen resolution to 1068 x 768 from 800 x 600 ...
every time i start my computer my initial screen resolution is 640 x 480 ...
then again i have to manually change it to 1068 resolutio
can anybody tell me what the problem is....

1068x768 doesn't exist on this planet, at least not as any default I know
of. Perhaps you mean 1024x768?

Have you gone to the manufacturer of your video card/chipset web page and
downloaded/installed the latest video card drivers fro your OS?
 
One more thing you may try, From time to time I have had to downlaod the
drivers for my monitor to get the display resolutions to operate correctly.

Ya I have the exact same problem and I've got new drivers too. Did yo
find a solution

Nick, how have you fixed the resolution problem. I see no solution in what
people replied.
