I've "supersized" my windows using the display control feature and now I can't undo it. I can't access the apply button. I've tried starting in safe mode and correcting from there but have not had any success. Can anyone help?
Your problem, which I have experienced, is that the Display Properties -
Settings wizard is now too large to fit on the screen, so you can't see the
Apply button. But you CAN "hit" it, by activating another control (that you CAN
see and "hit" with the mouse), tabbing to the Apply button, and hitting the
Enter key.
If your computer is running Windows XP, and you have just adjusted Screen
resolution, in the Display Properties - Settings wizard, hit the Tab key 6
times. This will make the Apply button the active control (button). Then hit
Enter. If that doesn't do it, adjust the Screen resolution slider again, Tab 5
times, and hit Enter. One of the two should do it.
Cheers,
Chuck
Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
