I recently purchased a Dell Laptop and when I unplug the A/C cord the display
dims. How do I adjust this?

Thanks for the answer Jerry, but Dell only answer questions about thier
hardware. (That was the first thing I tried.)
P.S. I recieved an answer to my e-mail but was unable to read it and reply,
the link didn't work. Please try again, thanks.

Hi,

Open Control Panel and look for Power Options. There may be a separate
HP Power Options utility, if so use it.
There should be setting for A/C Power (plugged in) and Battery power.
Adjust the battery power setting to adjust screen brightness when the
system is unplugged.

Hi Bert and Bob, I found the answer isn't in the control panel, you have to
adjust the brightness in the BIOS. Start or reboot and press F2 at initial
start up to enter system. Should be a place to adjust various brightnesses.
Dell's are set at half brightness as default. If you still have trouble Bob
email me at (e-mail address removed)
