Hi Dan,

Can we get a little more information on the circumstances? When does this
error message appear? While you are in the shower? While using Access? What
version of Access?

There was a bug in Access 2000 that causes this error message. The solution
is to get current with service packs.

Why do I get "DISK OR NETWORK ERROR"?

Access is losing the connection to the network server. Chances are
very good that you have an intermittent hardware problem of some sort.
Such as a loose connection somewhere. For example my last laptop had
to have the network cable inserted with a bit of force before the
light would go on.

I'd suggest starting by find the network connection light on your PCs
network card and then wiggle the network cable back and forth at the
wall and at the PC and see if that light flickers off and on.

This problem could also be a slightly flaky switch or hub or poor
power.
