disk not formatted help!!!!!!!!

omg i dont know what to do my floppy disk is comming up disk not formatted
and i used it earlier today on the same comp and im freaking i need those
documents and my tech support said he tryed to repair the disk and he said i
could access the document but that the disk is trash well suprise suprise i
cant even asses the files to get them out help the only solution i found
myself is something i shouldent be doing help!!!!!!!

Was this diskette created on a computer running an older version of Windows?

You should be able to format a new diskette on your WIndows XP computer,
then copy the existing diskette to it on a Windows 98 computer. The
resulting diskette should be readable by Windows XP.
