When one uses Disk Manager, a change can be made to the registry. How can one
use Disk Manager to make a change to the registry that is on a different
partition?

As to the Registry that is another partition, you mean a backup
of the current, working Windows Registry or the Registry for
another copy of Windows that is on the other partition?
 
I would like to make a change to the registry that is used by Wxp that is on
a different partition.

Are you talking about a different copy of Windows XP?

Normally changes can only be made to the registry that is currently in
use. If you have a multiboot configuration then you cannot easily
make changes to the registry that belongs to a different installation
of Windows.

It is technically possible, using advanced utilities such as LOADHIVE,
but doing so is something that should not be attempted unless you have
a great deal of expertise with regards to registry matters. I, for
one, would be extremely reluctant to attempt such a process unless
there was no possible alternative.
