I run XP Home and have just installed a second HDD
(Maxtor Diamond Plus 9 120 GB) as a back up device. I
intend to back up using Drive Image 2002, which until now
I have used successfully in backing up to a separate
partition on the original drive.

When I start the process all goes well until the system
reboots to begin copying the image and I get the
following error message:

Error#91
Disk Manager has been detected on Drive 1, but Disk
Manager is not running. If you are booting from a floppy
disk, remove the floppy disk and hold the <Space Key> as
your computer restarts. When prompted insert your boot
floppy disk and continue to boot.

Up to now I have not had to use any floppy to reboot.

How do I get Disk Manager to run (Computer Management
tells me that Logical Disk AManger and Administration are
running on auto), or is this the normal state of play?

Any suggestion welcomed.
Thanks
Mike D

Hi Mike,

Regarding your post, the error you see is due to your disk having 3rd party
drive partitioning software Ontrack Disk Manager installed - probably as a
factory option. It does not refer to the Windows XP Disk Management
subsystem.
