I have 3 hard disks on my XP Pro system. I gave them C, D
and E for drive letters. They are all basic disks. I
noticed in explorer they other day that another one with
the drive letter J appeared seemingly from nowhere.
Further study showed the J disk was actually the same as
the E disk. So in explorer I could see C, D, E and J. I
openned up Disk Management to attempt to fix this problem
but I was not able to. Disk Management did not have J
listed, it also did not have drive letters assigned to
the disks that show in explorer as C and D. I cannot
assign my C and D drives because Disk Manager says they
are not available. I cannot delete the J drive because it
is not in disk manager. Any idea's on how I can fix this?
or what might be goin on?
