Could somebody please tell me which system log files (Windows XP Prof.) I
should check if I suspect my HDD is dying?

Could somebody please tell me which system log files (Windows XP Prof.) I
should check if I suspect my HDD is dying?

The system log in the event viewer will show errors sometimes but it's
better to use some software like Everest to monitor the SMART status
and/or use the hdd maker's diagnostic utilities for that.
