I have a 12 in 1 FMC reader/writer installed on my system and all has been
working fine until recently when I can not see the devices in My Computer and
they do not work. I ran snapsys and it informed me that 'some components
have been added and others removed F1010'. It indicated that my disk drives
have been removed.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Thank you

Check if they appear in the device manager. Run the Hardware Wizard
(Control Panel) in addition.

If this is an *internal* device (rather than external USB) and all other
attempts fail, this simple procedure has proven to be helpful: Shutdown
the system and disconnect the computer and all peripheral devices from
the power outlet (important). Wait a couple of minutes and reconnect the
power cable/s. Boot the system and the devices/drives should re-appear.

Hi yes it is internal and did what you said and shutdown the system and now
it works fine. Thank you very much

Have you used the 'save removal' dialog? This removes the
whole card reader device until the system boots next time.

Use the 'eject' item in the drive's context menu in the
Windows Explorer instead.
