Disk defragmenter does not open

I can't open disk defragmenter. I am sure taht there is an easy fix to this
problem. I appreciate your help.

I assume you are trying to open it by right-clicking on the drive in My
Computer, clicking Properties, and selecting Defragment Now from the
Tool tab of the Properties box?

What happens if you try?

And is this a home machine or a work computer?

Thanks for the quick response. I did exactly what you suggested, the
hourglass appears for about one second but the program does not appear.
 
Click Start, Run and type DFRG.MSC
(Press ENTER)

Does Defrag open?

Have you previously used another third party Disk Defragmenter?

I am not getting any message.

Yes, about a month ago, I insttaled a product from Systweak called "advanced
system optimizer". in that program they have a registry defrager. Maybe that
has caused the problem.
