Last used disk defragmenter (WinXP Home)about a fortnight ago and worked
fine. Last night I upgraded Norton Internet Security 2002 to Norton
Internet Security 2004 (no disk managment utility in this) and now, this
could be totally conincidental , but when I click on the "Analyse" button in
the disk defragmenter window I get an error message that says "Disk
Defragmenter could not start".
Disk Defragmenter works OK if I start in safe mode.
I have checked my event log and can't see an obvious error message that
might relate to this. Are their any services that might be disabled that
Disk Defragmenter requires?
Any help on this appreciated.
