disk cleanup

hello b-b-,

well, there are standard specs
for useless files that the clean
manager automatically targets
and removes.

you can launch cleanmgr
from the start > run box.

in addition there are third party
software's that remove additional
garbage files from the disk, like
systemmechanic.

third party software's have different
ideas of what are garbage files and
will show you what they are and if
you want to remove them or
keep them.

however, in time you will come to
know what files are any good for
you to keep or for the system.

until then, stick with the automated
features of cleanmgr or professional
third party software.

How do "I" know? I just do. It's because I've been using PCs for 17
years now.

Seriously, if you let XP do the cleanup, you should be safe.

This is a follow uup question on top of yours Bettyboo...How do you
reconfigure the WIN XP OS to its original factory settings so I can give mu
old computer to a friend?

You shouldn't post a new question a a reply to someone else's thread, called
hijacking. Create a new thread with your issue. You're question has
nothing to do with the OP's question.
