'Ello,

When I got to the properties window of my hard drive
there is no option to do a disk cleanup under the tools
tab. When I try it though the start menu it does
nothing, I left it for two hours and it was still on two
bars and the hard drive light never came on.

Any one know how to enable this? I do have Windows XP
Home edition if thats any help.

It's not in the tools tab,it's on the general tab by
capacity.Sounds like you need a fix!Go to this site,(it's
run by microsoft MVP's),look for the fix for restore,or
enable disc cleanup, also run line 48 sticks on compressed
old files, run both of those fixes, and you should be back
in biz.

Try this....it has worked for me in the past with NO
PROBLEMS!

Follow this link: (cut and paste it on your browser)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Go to line 48, Right column "Disk Cleanup - Compress..."
Right click to "save as" Save on your desktop.
Double click the icon to downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
The go to My Computer
Right click on properties
Disk cleanup and follow the rest of the instructions.
