My Disk Cleanup function appears to be corrupted. When I
run it from either Programs > Accessories > System Tools
or the command line, it stalls while scanning and slows
my computer down big time. Even if I cancel the process,
my computer is so slow that I need to reboot.

I've tried replacing my file (cleanmgr.exe) with the same
file copied from another PC. It didn't fix the problem.

Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thank you in
advance....

After terminating the application (by clicking Cancel) you need also to
terminate the process in Task Manager (cleanmgr.exe), because it eats up
99% of your processor time.
