I recently installed XP on my computer. When I try to dowload files, or
restore the system, I received a message that I am low on disk space in
SYSTEM SAV(D:). When I try to clean it up, I get a window with a list of
files to delete. Some have a check mark, others do not. Why? How is this
work? I do not see a choice, or get more explanations. I click on OK, but
do not know what happens, because the same list appears. Do I have to check
mark the files I want to delete? Do I uncheck them? How do I know if I
successfuly deleted a file or not? I keep clicking ok (to clean up), yet I
keep getting the low on space message. I tried reinstalling the XP with the
cd, and get the low on disk space message, again. How do I clean up this
thing? I am not versed in these matters, but I think I can follow
instructions. And they did not help. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

Certain ones are set by default to be seelcted for deletion when you run the
disk checker, the rest are optional. You can choose whether or not to remove
them. Frankly, I don't bother running System Restore on any drive other than
the System drive, as there is no real reason for it.
