Disk cleanup

May disk cleanup does not work properly it comes on, has 3 bars, then in 4 hours still nothing more, in other words freezes .
Also cannot find my tempary internet folders to cleanup

Each item in the cleaner is a seperate com program. The list of cleaners is stored here
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches

Type Regedit in Start - Run
Navigate to the key above, select compress old files and delete.

To undo type in Start Run
regsvr32 dataclen

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and
answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by right
clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
