Disk Clean-up

I am having a problem with the disk clean-up utility.
Whenever I open it up, it just bogs down and does
nothing. The disk clean-up window will open, but it
stops there.

Help please...

Line 48, Right column "Disk Cleanup - Compress..."
Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
