Disk checking

It sounds like you have bad sectors on the harddrive. Run Drive fitness test
from IBM on your harddrive to see if there is any problems
"http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT". Also if there are
no problems with the disk and you use FAT32 you should convert it to NTFS
type "convert C: /FS:NTFS" without the " in comand prompt (assuming that C:
is the partition with problems).
 
As soon as Windows starts it performs automatic disk checking & deletes
various files & folders stating they r unreadable.This problem was not
there previously.The disk checking lasts as long as 30 mts & even music
files r being deleted.Pl.help
