For some reason my computer (Windows XP Pro) began to start Disk Check
everytime I go to use it. I remember having this trouble last year and
someone gave the answer which was to change some entry in the registry.
I unfortunately can't remember what it was. Can someone help me with
this? Thank you.
If I do let the computer go through with the Disk Check it finds nothing
wrong.

CHKDSK running at startup is not a good thing unless you're arbitrarily
scheduled it. And disabling it via a reg hack or any other method,
especially on NTFS is a very *bad* thing to do.

Are you running FAT or NTFS? Do start->run->msconfig and look in the startup
tab for a reference to chkdsk. Is there one?
