disk boot failure

I have windows XP. when my computer starts it gets
through the BIOS, but never gets to windows. F8 will not
get me to BIOS setup. it then has a black screen that
says "Pri. Master Disk HDD S.M.A.R.T. capability....NONE.
Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter". I
have unplugged all peripherals and tried again...what is
wrong?

Unfortunately, it appears your hard drive has malfunctioned and
is no longer operational....you'll need to purchase a new one.
