Please help all of you with the know-how!
How can I disable the "Work off Line" from File on the Internet. It creates
the tick against it of its own accord (but something (what?) must be causing
it) and this results in disengagement of my connection to Broadband at the
most inconvenient times.
Many thanks in anticipation.

Do you have Offline File Saving disabled?
* open 'Windows Explorer' > Folder Options > 'Offline Files' tab
* uncheck 'Enable Offline Files', click OK

Many thanks for the reply. Unfortunately (OS Win.XPPro) I cannot find any
"Folder Options" in my Windows Explorer under Accessories. It contains
mostly My Documents.
Where else do you suggest I should look?

Hi,

From the menu bar, click tools/folder options.

Thank you for the suggestion, but in the Internet mode there is no "Folder
Option" under Tools in the menu bar - I tried that before posting my
problem. Any other suggestions?

Hi,

Drew told you to open Windows Explorer, not Internet Explorer. The option is
found in the former, not the latter. You can also access this function from
the Control Panel, or by clicking start/run and typing "control folders" (no
quotes), then click ok.
