I have a general question about the layout of this discussion group: Why do some entries have a right-arrow beside them and some don't? Just curious. ;)

The ones with the right arrow likely have replies. If you click on
the right arrow they should "expand out" and become visible.

It's likely a function of the client you're using to access this newsgroup.
As Tony said, it probably indicates that a reply exists. If you're
accessing this group via a website, the website may have a key explaining
what the icons mean.
