Start by emptying your Recycle Bin. Next, uninstall software that you no

i'm not sure what to get rid of though, i don't want to
delete things incase i really need them. The other night
though my computer asked me to free space and all these
images came up in these folders i think they are called
cookies do you know how i can find them again and get rid
of them?

How large is your hard disk and how much free space. If you have more than
one drive or a drive is partitioned we need to know how large and how much
free space is on each .You can obtain this information by double clicking
the My Computer icon on your Desktop. Then for each drive / partition right
click on the drive / partition and select Properties and the information
will be displayed.

If you have less than 25% free space on any drive or partition tell us what
are you are keeping there.

Some housekeeping will help. A suggested routine may include:

1. In Outlook Express empty your Deleted Items folder.

2. In Outlook Express run File, Folder, Compact All whilst OFFLINE.

3. Run Disk Cleanup. Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk
Cleanup with Temporary Internet Files, Offline Web Pages (optional), and
Recycle Bin selected for deletion. If you have more than one drive /
partition you may need to do this operation for each drive / partition.

4. Remove Cookies. Start, Control Panel, Internet Options, General,
Delete Cookies..

5. Run Disk Defragmenter.

Cookies aren't "images" - they're text files placed on your hard drive by
sites you visit in case you wish to visit them again. They store things like
registration information.
