I've searched around Usenet posts, but haven't seen anyone else
mention this specific problem:
My "System Tools" folder, located @ Start>All
Programs>Accessories>System Tools, keeps disappearing for no apparent
reason. I am NOT posting this to ask for the relevant shortcuts to the
various apps contained there (e.g., disk cleanup, defrag, sys restore,
etc); I know where all the programs are on hd, and have re-constructed
the System Tools folder 4 or 5 times w/in the last week! But after
replacing the folder, sure enuff in a day or so I'll try to go back
into System Restore or wherever and the folder in question will be
GONE.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any remedies come to mind?

Thanks in advance [:-))

Verify the startup applications. An audit might also help:
