My Outlook 2000 .pst file keeps disappearing from my profile. I can'
identify what triggers this to happen, but the entire Outlook folde
quite literally disappears (yes, I have windows set to show hidde
files & folders).
The location of the outlook folder that is deleting is:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Microsoft\Outlook\

This seems to happen sometime during the shutdown or startup routine.
I am running Windows 2000 & Outlook 2000 with all current updates fro
MS. I have tried changing the .pst filename, no luck.

Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas for a solution? Please help

I have seen this once before. Seems your install may be pooched or not
properly installed with the proper W2K permissions.

The best case solution is to manually backup your .pst file to an external
source (network or CD). Login as Administrator (not user w/ admin rights) ,
uninstall Outlook then reinstall it (again as Admin).
Restore your .pst file. You might consider also looking at the permissions
issues on the program files dir too, I have seen that issue too on W2k
wotrkstations w/ multiple users who were not admin.
