In my experience.... I find it really increases the
performance/stability/efficiency/whatever of my newsreader (Outlook Express) if
I right-click on the newsgroup (in Folders), do a "catch up" before I post.
That way if I have OEx set to download, say 200 new headers, I know that as soon
as I post, give it about 10 seconds and do an F5 (refresh) that my post will be
one of the posts that shows up. Then upon refreshing, and seeing my post, I
red-flag it. That seems to protect it really well, plus making it always easy
to find in the list.

Why do my posts disappear once they've been added? They worked the
first time, but now they're gone.
