Disappearing Personal Folders

We as a company are all using outlook 2000 on XP Pro
machines. i have had two individuals completely lose
their personal folders. when this happens there is not a
single pst file located on the machine. they either have
to create a new set of folders or restore one from a
backup. What causes this and has anyone found a solution?

Have you searched in ALL folders for those .PST files, including hidden and
system folders? Windows XP tends to put .PST files in hidden folders by
default, and users can move them anywhere..
