Disappearing messages on Office XP Outlook

One of my customers has a strange problem. Click on the
message in the inbox and it pops up into the full frame
BUT poof it goes away from the inbox. The same holds true
if you print the message. The only way to insure it's
continued presence is to save it to another folder such as
My Documents.

Anybody got any ideas?

Check your view. Make sure it's not set to Unread messages.
