disappearing Favorites folders

I keep most of my links in a folder: "Links" in the root of the
Favorites dropdown of IE6.
Suddenly, this folder and others have disappeared from the dropdown,
this just started a few weeks after using XPPro.
Strangely, "Links" does appear as expected in Favorites|Add to
Favorites, and all folders still exist in the Favorites that show up on
clicking the Favorites star on the Menu Bar.
How to fix this?

Right click the Links folder and choose Properties. Make sure it is not
Hidden.

This is nowhere that easy<G>.
It is not hidden, and if it were, how would it be visible in some places
and not others?

this just started a few weeks after using XPPro.


Try unchecking (on Options, Advanced tab)
Enable Personalized Favorites Menu
