Disappearing Custom Toolbars

I'm running OL 2003 and recently, several custom toolbars disappeared. I
checked the folder where OL HELP says that they should be and found 2 files
extend.dat and extend.dat.004. Swaped extensions and OL didn't like that at
all. Swapped them back and everything is OK, but still no custom toolbars.

Custom toolbars are stored in the outcmd.dat file. This file is easily
corrupted and unfortunately there's no way to fix it once that happens.
Close Outlook, find the outcmd.dat file (you may have to search in hidden
folders to find it) and delete or rename it. When you reopen Outlook the
default toolbars and menus will be recreated. As soon as you start
customizing, a new outcmd.dat file will be created, and you can back up that
file so you can restore it if you ever run into this problem again.

See http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm for more information on
Outlook files.
