Disappearing Contacts

Windows XP, Office 2000, Exchange server

Main Contacts Folder: 307
Sub Contact Folder: 258

Need to create Contacts in Added Mailbox Contacts Folder.
When created - click Save and Close - contact isn't in
Contacts Folder.

Added Mailbox is from a Laptop user who synchronizes if
that's of any merith?
 
Found out why: By default they are being marked as
Private when being entered by an external user.

Now how do I change this...Thanks anyways.
