Disappearing computernames in workgroup

Configuration:

1 PC with XP-Pro-SP2
2 PC's with XP-Home-SP2

The one with the pro-version is the gateway to the internet. (Internetaccess
runs well on all PC's)

All 3 PC's are connected with a switch for the network at home.

The problem is: When we look in the workgroup whe often don't see the
computernames, but we do have a connection with eachother, because we can
connect through a named connection to a specific drive.

Does anybody have a solution to this problem?

Henk

Check out the settings for the Firewall in the Control panel

Possibly you can enable the "File and Printer Sharing" on the "Exceptions" Tab

Darren,

That's something I don't have to do, because I disabled the windows
firewall.

Anyway thanks for the quick response. Maybe an other suggestion from you or
anybody else?
