Using Office 2003: It's always been that when page 1 in a Word document was
full, automatically it rolled to/created page 2, and when page 2 is full, a
page 3 is created. Some time this past week a wierd problem began. When I
type text in Word, and get to the bottom of the page (full page of text),
rather than a page 2 being created, the text just isn't visible. In other
words, it's as if my document can ONLY be 1 page. I can continue to type,
and I don't get error messages, but I also can't see the text beyond what
will fit on page 1. And if I print, I only get what is on page "1". Where
is the rest of my text going? I have Windows XP Pro w/auto updates turned on,
and I haven't installed any new programs.

Although there may be several possible causes, the most common one is a bug
that sort of makes Word thinks you have more than one column, and Column 1
is margin-width, allowing no room for the text in Column 2. Go to Format |
Columns and click on the preset picture for One, which will check the "Equal
column width" box, then click OK.

If this solves the problem for the current document and you are having the
problem in all new documents, then you'll need to make this change in
Normal.dot. For instructions for finding and modifying Normal.dot, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm.
