Hi,

Is there any way to disable the Photo Printing Wizard that pops up in XP?

Thanks!
Dave

What Photo Printing Wizard? I have XP Home Edition, and there is no such
application on my system. When does this "wizard" pop up?

Specifically, it pops up when you go to print from the default XP program
that opens when you double-click on a picture.

So does anyone have a way to disable it?

Dave

When you print.

As David said, it's not possible to override the Print (with a different program) function of Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. It always uses the file photowiz.dll.

Oh okay....then my question becomes, does anyone have any idea why the
Photo/Print Wizard keeps locking up when this guy I know tries to print?
The PPW starts going through about 650 files, gets to around 580, then
freezes.

Identify the file it's choking on. Try to read them. Try printing them in smaller segments. Who prints 600 things at once?

I print 556 things at once, and sometimes 638. It's common
in the US, unlike Australia where you still draw pictures
in the dirt with sharp sticks.

Hi Hootie,

David's advice was perfect there, as always. I'd try to investigate where the system halts (i mean, while accessing which file/image) using F'mon. And what apps are running at that time?
