Disable Splash Screen

Is there a way to disable the splash screen in MS Outlook 2003? I am using
WinXP HE.

I don't know how to disable it - I Googled and did not find a way either.
What I do know is that if you're trouble is that the splash screen is
hanging there, sometimes for as much as a couple of minutes, you can usually
fix that by disabling the instant messaging in the options.

Change your startup folder to Inbox. Tools>Options>Other>
advanced options button>select Inbox in "Startup in this folder."

Huh??? What does this have to do with the Outlook splash?
